Smithsonian Summer Program 2008
Designed to create a dialogue and enrich the experiences of cultural workers and scholars, the Smithsonian Institute for the Interpretation and Representation of Latino Cultures (SIIRLC) is a combination of lectures, workshops, and two weeks of hands-on learning at the Smithsonian Institution. The program aims to develop creativity and leadership of new talent in the fields of cultural work in community cultural centers, museums, and theater. A group of fifteen applicants will be chosen by a selection committee composed of scholars, artists, museum professionals, and cultural center directors. The application deadline is April 24, 2008 at 5 p.m. Selected applicants will be informed of their selection by May 2008.
